Modlo Furniture Returns & Warranty Policy

1. Overview

At Modlo, every piece is crafted with care and intention. Due to the custom nature of our furniture, returns are limited and subject to the conditions below.

2. Change of Mind

We do not accept returns for change of mind on:

  • Custom-made furniture
  • Made-to-order items
  • Items with selected dimensions, fabrics, finishes, or colours

For non-custom items (if applicable), returns may be accepted within 7 days of delivery, subject to:

  • Item being unused and in original condition
  • Original packaging retained
  • Return shipping costs covered by the customer

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced. Deposits are non-refundable once production begins.

3. Australian Consumer Law (Your Rights)

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a product has:

Major Failure

You are entitled to:

  • Replacement or refund
  • Compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss

Minor Failure

We may:

  • Repair the item
  • Replace the item

4. Warranty

Modlo provides a 24-month warranty covering:

  • Structural integrity of frames
  • Major manufacturing defects
  • Faulty workmanship resulting in a major defect

This does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Fabric pilling, fading, or softening over time
  • Damage caused by misuse, pets, or improper care
  • Variations in colour or texture

5. Natural Material Variations

Due to the nature of furniture materials:

  • Fabrics, timbers, and finishes may vary slightly
  • Colour appearance may differ due to lighting and screens

These are not considered faults.

6. Claims Process

To lodge a claim, contact us within a reasonable timeframe and provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of issue
  • Clear photos

We will assess and respond promptly.

7. Repairs & Replacements

Where required, we may:

  • Arrange repair
  • Replace part or full product
  • Offer a refund where appropriate
